7 New Wonders

To Whom it May Concern,
I oppose this effort. The gift of the greatest wonder of the modern world, TCP/IP, has apparently fallen on dead hearts and limited minds. Who gave your cabal the right to choose which twenty-one 'wonders' are considered for vote in your marketing ploy? Certainly not intellectual capacity, insight, or vision.
However, I must commend the marketing acumen of your consortium.
Truth be told, capitalism gives your group the right to make the choice. But, please, do not attempt to portray this effort as any thing other than what it is - a money making enterprise.
Selling additional votes is an idea which should be expanded beyond the political realm, perhaps. I congratulate you for honestly stating that additional votes are for sale. Your consortium has shown far more honesty in that regard than the garden variety politician, or diplomat in the world.
Regardless - elitism, which has severely retarded and virtually incapacitated humanity's progress over the past several millennia, is obviously very much still alive and well, to the extreme detriment of humanity. I choose not to participate, neither will I have my decision-making capacity usurped, nor my name as a sentient being of this world besmirched in this manner.
