21st Century - Paradigm Shift

The 21st Century
is indeed the century of change. We will witness the most spectacular
revolutions in technology, sociology, lifestyle, economics
and personal development in the history of humankind. While
many fear social and weather-related upheaval might well
precipitate the end of human life on this planet, I think not.
Many of the changes soon forthcoming (notably the planetary
revolution that Nanotechnolgy will spawn when it mainstreams before
the end of this decade) will change life for everyone on this
planet. Humans have demonstrated, beyond any argument,
that we are Nature's most adaptable form of life - we will
survive. Military adventurism and avarice have
been the bane of our existence for thousands of years. Yes,
we are capable of destroying ourselves and all life on the planet
as well. However,
what must be taken into account is the primary engine of
change during this century is our own desire for change. Have we had enough of greed, war and avarice? Would you
prefer a far better life than you have now? It is possible with
the technology at our disposal and the technology which will
soon arrive. Would you prefer energetic progress toward the
good for all of human kind, or would you prefer to remain trapped
in the long millennia of bickering, poverty, strife
and want which have accompanied us as boon companions since
our inception? Only you can answer that question. This is the century humanity will change. We are at the tipping point.
